I/O Graphs

I/O data can be presented in a graphical format.  Here are two different graphs to help you visualize the activity of your system's disks.  

The first graph shows total I/O graphed over time and the second graph shows how busy the disks are.  The disks can be sorted by percent busy or response time.

 

The average system-wide local I/O rate as measured by the r+w/s column in the sar -d data was 1.94 per second. This I/O rate peaked at 5 per second from 11:40:00 to 12:00:00.

The following graph shows the average percent busy and service time for 2 disks, not sorted with the -dbusy or -dserv switches.
