Announcing SarCheck UltraLite for SCO OpenServer 5!! SarCheck UltraLite is, as the name implies, a very lite version of SarCheck. We're not going for a big glitzy promotion because this product is FREE and is meant to get you interested in the concept of performance software that actually explains things to you in English.
Download SarCheck UltraLite here! You can download the compressed tar archive called ulite.taz right here. You may need to use the right mouse button to save the file, though it depends on your browser. Once you've put this file on your OpenServer system, install it with the following command:
zcat < ulite.taz | tar xvf -
What SarCheck UltraLite does:
Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure:
We believe SarCheck UltraLite is fully Y2K compliant. UltraLite does not care about the date and should run correctly on systems with Year 2000 dates as long as the operating system is Y2K compliant. We have heard reports that a Y2K patch for 5.0.2 will cause incorrect sar -n data to be reported. We don't have any more information about this, but sar should be working correctly if SarCheck UltraLite is to produce accurate output. The sar utility is distributed by SCO and we are not responsible for it.
Availability:
SarCheck UltraLite for SCO OpenServer 5 is available through SCO's 1998 Skunkware program, and it is available on SCO's 1998 Skunkware site and on the Skunkware 98 CD-ROM. We do not ship this product. The UltraLite version of SarCheck is based on SarCheck for SCO OSR5 Version 3.61. We have no plans to port SarCheck UltraLite to other platforms or to keep it updated.
